Computer Back-up

I work on a computer all day at the office either accessing information, scheduling appointments, or putting data into the system. I realize how important all the information in our system is to our business. It would be a nightmare beyond imagination if we were to lose all of that data. We use our backup software every day to prevent that from happening. We purchased a new backup system about a year ago and now it takes only a few minutes every day to ensure that our data is safe on a cassette if we ever need it.

Granddaughters

I spent the evening with my two oldest granddaughters. The older of the two is thirteen now and an 8th grader in middle school. The laptop and cell phone have become extensions of her arms. Rarely do you see her without one or the other. We played Mexican Dominoes and watched a movie. They grow up so fast and it won't be long before they will both be too busy with friends and school activities to spend much time with grandma! I do cherish the moments while I have them.

Root Canal

Spending time in the dental chair is not my idea of a fun time. Today I had a root canal on a lower back tooth. I felt fine during the actual procedure but now 2 hours later I feel like a truck hit me. I have been seeing the same dentist for the last 28 years and he is great. I guess I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to dental work but I know I'm not alone. I just keep telling myself that going through this is much better than losing a tooth.

Small Town Life

I'm born and raised small town and one of the things I love best about living in a small town is going out after work with several friends to the local sports bar. Nine times out of ten you will know almost everyone in the bar and they will know you. If not, you know their mother or their brother.
